Adobe has launched a new partner program for its managed partners to enable them to upgrade themselves from being Adobe authorized partners to becoming silver, gold and platinum partners.
Shriram Krishnamachari, Head, Channels and Distribution, Adobe India, explained, “Adobe’s authorized partner program has three levels. As a partner progresses to higher levels within the program, Adobe’s commitment to the partner increases. We provide additional marketing and sales engagement opportunities, higher rebates and enhanced benefits.”
Some of the benefits of the Adobe India Channel Partner Program include free vouchers for Adobe Certified Expert examination, participation in deal registration program, pre-sales training, and a Web site exclusively for members. Platinum and gold members will also have access to Adobe
Acrobat Connect Pro for conducting their Web meetings and events. These set of partners will be required to commit sales targets, and in turn will get market development funds, and access to demo and internal-use software. Adobe silver partners will have no sales commitments, but will get a presence on the company’s Web site, in addition to sales and technical team enablement.
Adobe currently has two distributors—Ingram Micro and Redington—who handle the volume partners—and 100 Adobe managed partners, which the company works with directly.
Adobe expects its partners’ revenue to grow by 40 percent by the year-end. “With this program, we want to differentiate between the partners who are just fulfiling demand (the distributor-led partners) and the people who are generating demand (Adobe managed partners),” said Krishnamachari. “If a non-managed partner performs consistently and aspires to become a managed partner, he can make a request. And based on the business case, he can come on board as a silver partner.” The company is also increasing its focus on training its partners’ sales staff. |
