 “I want to own a restaurant”

Amit NathPrior to his current appointment as the Country Manager, Trend Micro, India and Saarc, Amit Nath led the company’s value and volume business, and was responsible for channel sales.
He has over 10 years of IT industry experience across sales, marketing, operations and program management functions.

 

If not in the IT industry: I would have been running my own restaurant. I love cooking and I am good at it too.

 

Biggest passion: Work, team and results.

 

Behind the wheels: Currently, I drive a Honda Civic. But I would love to own a SUV soon.

 

Gadgets I can’t live without: My phone and my laptop.

 

Role model: My father. He taught me that substance matters.

 

Weekends are for: Bonding with family.

 

Favorite holiday destination: Goa.

 

Hate the most: I hate artificial people and lack of transparency. I value trust and transparency.

 

Ultimate ambition: To be able to run my own multi-cusine restaurant.

 

Thing I most want to do in life: Be successful and make a big contribution to the business. I would also like to incorporate more social responsibilities in my life.

 

Favorite sport and sportsperson: Cricket and Sachin Tendulkar.

 

If I became the Prime Minister: I would attack poverty in India, take it head-on.

 

Celebrity I’d like to spend a day with: The Indian soldier.

 

Deepest and darkest fear: To fail.
