Gigabyte India Reorganizes

Gigabyte has rolled out an aggressive business strategy to surpass the 1 million mark in motherboard sales in 2009. In 2008, Gigabyte sold 7.8 lakh units of motherboards in India. The company has drawn up plans to expand reach into non-metro locations and increase the number of RMA locations from 88 to 100 to reduce response times of its warranty support.

Gigabyte has reorganized its product and channel team in lieu of its aggressive plans.  Anant Chaturvedi has been appointed to handle distribution of high-end motherboards, while Devneesh Khurana has been appointed to take care of the company's west and south region operations. The company has also appointed Sunil Grewal in charge of north and east.

"Through focused efforts, we plan to plough in additional resources to increase our market share across all our product segments," said Prabodh Vyas, MD, Gigabyte India.
