Pune-based cartridge refilling company, Abbee Consumer and Peripherals Sshope plans to open 60 retail stores across the country within the next three months. The stores, which are called Abbeefill Cartridge Refill Stations, will be a mix of franchisee and company-owned outlets.
B B Somani, CEO, Abbee Consumer and Peripherals Sshope, said, “The demand for refilling of cartridges and re-manufactured cartridges has been growing steadily in the past few years. Hence, we think this is the right time to cash in on the opportunity and expand our refill stations across India. Our aim is to open around 1,500 stores over the next six years. The aim is to have at least one store in every pin code of the country. We are focusing on opening stores in metros and in state capitals and after that we will shift our focus to smaller cities like Indore and Mangalore.”
Currently, the company has around 18 stores that are located in cities like Pune, Mumbai, Baroda, Indore, Bangalore and Bhopal. Four such refill stations will be coming up in Aurangabad, Dhulia, Bangalore and Ahmedabad, by end of December.
Each store will be around 150 sq ft and will house refilling activities, distribution of inks, toner powders, components and remanufactured cartridges. The charges for refilling would be around Rs 150 for black inkjet cartridges, Rs 250 for color cartridges and Rs 400 for toners.
Last year, Abbee recorded a turnover of Rs 5 crore from its refill stations and is targeting a turnover of Rs 8 crore in this fiscal. The company receives around 80 percent of its revenues from franchisee stores and the remaining from company-owned outlets. |
