Kingston Organises SSD Challenge

 CRN Network, January 16, 2012 1330 hrs

Kingston Technology, recently organised an SSD Challenge in Hyderabad to showcase the features of their SSDNow product line. The event, called the SSDNow Challenge, was a move to challenge tech enthusiasts in India’s tech hub to test their HDDs against Kingston’s SSDNow products.

The SSDNow Challenge was organized at three different venues in Hyderabad-Cyber Gateway, Ananth Technologies and Cyber Pearl with over 1,200 participants present at the venues.

There were two different test rounds held for participants. One being the Speed Test round which tested boot up time, or opening up different applications at a single time and second being Death Match which challenged participants to drop their HDD and the Kingston SSDNow from a height of five feet

On winning both the challenge rounds, a participant could win a SSD.

Talking about the SSDNow Challenge, Vishal Parekh, Marketing Director, Kingston Technology, India, said “The SSD Challenge was an innovative way to showcase to consumers the superiority of the SSD over the HDD. We wanted to showcase to tech aficionados the impressive performance, speed, durability and the value for money that SSDs bring to the table. We strongly believe that soon SSD technology become a mass technology.”
