HP India has launched a new series of touch-enabled photo printers.
According to Christoph Schell, Vice President, Consumer Go To Market and Inkjet and Web Solutions Imaging & Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard Asia-Pacific and Japan, “Since HP introduced its first consumer touchscreen printer in 2006, our R&D teams have drawn from extensive consumer insights, and leading-edge touchscreen technologies to develop the new Touchsmart user interface that is simple and easy to use. It promises to make everyday printing intuitive and enjoyable. With this launch, we will be the first to make the touch technology available for printing through our Photosmart printers.”
With Indian consumers integrating bold style statements into their day-to-day life, technology is molding itself into an extension of individual personalities, and styling up to the expectations of users. According to a report by Technopak, digital accessories form 13 percent of the luxury market, and by 2015, the Indian touchscreen market is expected to hit $9 billion, with a CAGR of 14 percent.

The new line-up of HP Photosmart touch-enabled printers include four AIO models—the Photosmart Premium C309G (MRP Rs 13,350), the Photosmart Plus B209A (Rs 8,999), the C4688 (Rs 7570) and HP Photosmart C4788 (MRP Rs 6,267)
