D-Link Debuts 3-In-1 Wireless Pocket Router


 CRN Network, July 22, 2010, 1200 hrs

D-Link has introduced Wi-Fi N pocket router DAP-1350 with multi-mode functionality. It can act as a wireless router to create 802.11n Wi-Fi network or as an access point to add Wi-Fi to an existing wired network for connectivity. The device can also be used to connect an Ethernet-ready device, such as a desktop PC or Xbox 360.

 

The device includes 802.11n performance and supports WPA and WPA2. It is equipped with a simple WPS push button to easily add devices and secure the network. Additionally, it includes SharePort Technology, which allows sharing of a USB printer or storage when in router mode.

 

When operating in wireless client mode, the router supports Power over USB to use a PC to power the device if a power outlet is not accessible.

 

D-Link DAP-1350 will currently be available through leading electronic retail chains present across India at an estimated street price of Rs 5,999 will also carry a 1-year warranty. D-Link DAP-1350 comes along with a compact travel pouch which contains CAT5 Ethernet cable, USB power cable and power adapter.
