Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT) is all set to kick start the 19th TAIT Kaspersky IT cup 2012 in Shivaji Park in Mumbai from February 4. The matches would be played in the T20 format.
There are eight teams, playing in two groups which include HP, TAIT, Kaspersky and Intel in group A while group B comprise Allied digital, Insight, ISODA and IBM. The first match will be played between HP and TAIT.
Each team will play three league matches in their group and the top two teams in each group go on to play the semi-finals. The winners at this stage will then compete for the grand trophy.
“This is the IT fraternity’s premier sporting tournament where leading IT companies would clash for the winner’s title. This year promises some great cricket as in earlier years. All teams are practicing hard to vie for the winner’s trophy,” said C W Kadwadkar, Executive Secretary, TAIT.
