 CRN Network, September 2, 2009, 1230 hrs

AVG Technologies has appointed Aarvee Computers and Park Group as sub-distributors for the Mumbai and New Delhi and NCR region, respectively for their retail antivirus and internet security products.

“With the PC penetration and adoption of technology in the consumer and SMB space in India increasing, we realized that Indian users would have the need and demand world class security software. The appointment of Aarvee and Park will enable AVG to meet the demand from users in the Western and Northern regions of India.” said Peter Baxter, VP, Business Development, AVG Technologies.

AVG operates in India through its master distributor, Milestone Interactive. “Both Aarvee and Park have a strong reseller network. Their expertise will help us develop and grow AVG’s dealer base in India,” said Jayant Sharma, Chairman, Milestone Interactive.
