Wireless networking vendor Senao Networks plans to strengthen its India operations by opening a local office and appointing a second distributor to push its wireless products to broadband service providers.
“We have finalized the plan to open our India office,” informed Jason Yeo, Business Development Manager, Senao Networks Asia. “It will be set up before the end of Q1 2010. Also, we will soon have a second distributor for the Indian market who will exclusively push our wireless data products to telcos and ISPs.”
Senao estimates the market for wireless data access products—which includes Wi-Fi, CDMA and GSM—at over $1billion, and expects this to grow three-fold by 2012.
The company will soon launch a 3G router for home and small business use. “With this new router, small businesses can connect their 3G Photon+ wireless broadband card to the router which can provide adequate Internet connectivity to 10 concurrent users,” explained Yeo.
On the Wi-Fi front, Senao is betting on the service provider market. “With Wireless-N being ratified, we see several smaller players getting into the Wi-Fi hotspot space and providing wireless Internet connectivity to a small group of customers in the neighborhood. The N standard supports bandwidth which is almost 6-7 times faster than the earlier standards.” Yeo added.
On the SMB front, Senao plans to refresh its indoor and outdoor WLAN product line with Wireless-N products which it distributes through Rashi. “We have been conducting training programs for our IT partners on the new wireless technology and products,” Yeo stated.
On the support front, Senao says it has improved its post-sales support significantly. “From providing RMA service, Rashi engineers are today trained to provide level-one and level-two support.” |
