D-Link Ropes in Ingram Micro

  CRN Network, July 30, 2009, 1100 hrs

D-Link has appointed Ingram Micro as its national distributor to enhance its reach in the market. However, the vendor will retain its regional distribution (RD) model as well.

Rajesh Sahore, VP, Channels, D-Link India said, “D-Link India enjoys strong support from its RD partners who have helped D-Link achieve its leadership position in Networking Industry in India. The existing RDs will continue to enjoy all benefits as earlier in addition they will have an option of buying from Ingram Micro or D-Link directly”.

Tier-2 resellers too will have the option of buying from RDs or Ingram Micro.

The new structure, according to D-Link, will help reduce the lead time and ensure stock availability across the country.
