Ruckus Appoints Distributors

 CRN Network, 4 August 2008, 1930 hrs

Ruckus Wireless, has appointed four regional distributors and one value-added distributor.

The company has roped in Bangalore-based Convergent Communications to cater to the southern and eastern zones, New Delhi-based TelExcell Information Systems for the North, Microsense and Comptel Network Systems for the West and Zen India for central India. Ivalue Infosolutions has been signed up as a value-added distributor. The company had earlier tied up with Dell to provide wireless LANs to its corporate customers throughout India.

"The company is committed to being channel-driven in India. We have chosen distributors who are not just known for their networking expertise but also for their in-depth knowledge of territories they operate in," explained Sudarshan Boosupalli, Country Manager, Ruckus India.

The company is expected to roll out its next phase of programs after August 15. "We will very soon have channel meets and road shows across the country and hope to sign up more resellers, systems integrators and solution providers. Once we have the second tier up, we might introduce our accredited channel programs which are already popular in the US," added Boosupalli.
