Juniper Networks plans to introduce new tools and programs, as part of improved marketing collateral to its partners. The tools will be marketed as partner services to customers.
This was announced at Juniper Global Partner Conference in Las Vegas being held from January 16-18.
The move is chiefly to align Juniper's tier-2 partners to thousands of enterprise customers globally. "More than 1,000 partners have already signed on for our new services across 60 countries. We now sit besides HP and Cisco, and our endeavor is to consolidate our position and move ahead," said Lauren Flaherty, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Juniper Networks.
While the company introduced two tools, namely, Marketing Concierge and InnoVAR in late 2011, it is launching Mobile Partner App in April 2012. The tools will be prominently highlighted on Partner Center, Juniper's partner portal.
Marketing Concierge is an online tool or an asset creating system designed to help partners with Webcasts/Webinars, advertising, and other marketing collateral to make them market-ready. The tool will offer partners access to new products and technologies from the Juniper portfolio.
With InnoVAR, Juniper is educating partners to be better marketeers. "We are building bigger capacity for partners who expect us to help them do better. We are teaching partners to utilize assets on the Marketing Concierge; the next step would be to teach them to use social media optimally, and in the right manner," said Flaherty.
The company is also looking to leverage the smartphone for marketing. Flaherty said that Juniper will launch Mobile Partner App for iPads which will allow partners to give customer demos on data centers and campus networking solutions. "Using this partners can provide customers pertinent information about Juniper's design and architecture or network platform architecture instantly."
