Elina Networks is scouting for partners for its indigenously developed gateway appliance that monitors and manages PC clients, and also acts as an UTM solution.
The company that calls itself a UTM++ company was conceptualized in 2005 at IIM Bengaluru.
According to Shekar Nair, CEO, Elina Networks, the flagship product also provides predictive analyses of customer’s network, and incorporates remote monitoring and management tools.
“With a strong clientele of 500 in India, we feel that our product is mature enough to be sold through channels. We have recently signed up 20 partners and are looking for more,” he added.
The company is targeting VARs that have a strong presence in the BFSI sector. According to Nair, Elina is particularly keen on stock brokerage firms where its offerings have previously found several takers including large brokerages like Anand Rathi.
Highlighting the key features of its software appliance, Nair elaborated, “Our offering is a virtualized software application that can be deployed on an ordinary x86 server. A server partner of HP or IBM can thereby save revenues for their customers on security and networking hardware by deploying our solution on servers they sell.”
Elina’s products are priced between Rs 20,000 and Rs 2,00,000 depending on the configuration and post-sales support required by customers. The company has signed Omnitech InfoSolutions to provide direct onsite support at nearly 500 locations across the country.
Another market that Elina is targeting is the service provider market. “Since our tools can be used to monitor health of the networks, service providers can use it for remote infrastructure management services (RIMS),” he added. |
