“I want to become CEO of Gigabyte Worldwide”

Rajan Sharma, GM, Sales and Marketing, Mother Board Unit, Gigabyte, has been associated with the company since its inception in 2002. He has over 13 years of experience in the IT hardware industry and in managing channels.

If not in the IT industry: I would have been a journalist.

Biggest passion: I love reading books and watching thriller movies.

Behind the wheels: Currently, I drive a Logan. But my dream is to rule the roads with a mean machine from BMW 4 series.

Gadgets I can’t live without: I need my Motorola Q9 PDA. It helps me to stay in touch with my work and family 24/7.

Role model: I admire KR Naik, MD, D-Link. His professional journey is inspiring. He started his career as an IT company employee and is now one of the successful names in the industry.

Weekends are for: Family. I love spending quality time with my family. We usually go out for movie, dinner and outings.

Favorite holiday destination: A secluded beach in Maharashtra called Kashid.

Hate the most: I can’t stand complacent behavior.

Ultimate ambition: My aim is to become the CEO of Gigabyte Worldwide by 2015.

Wildest thing I’ve ever done: Going on a 10-hour trek though the Khara Pathar forests without proper gear or supplies.

Favorite sport and sportsperson: I am passionate about cricket and a die-hard fan of the Australian cricketer Steve Waugh.

If I became the Prime Minister: I would make it mandatory for all Government employees to come on time.

Celebrity I’d like to spend a day with: Amitabh Bachchan. We share birthday, and I would love to celebrate jointly.

Deepest and darkest fear: To wake up one day and find out that there is no one else on Earth except me.
