Ramco Systems plans to ramp up its channel partner base to sell its SaaS-based ERP solution. Currently, the vendor has 30 partners and is looking to get 20 more on board within the next quarter. “Our OnDemand ERP is targeted at the SMB segment, where companies are growing fast but do not have the right tools to keep track of their own data,” said R Sukumar, Head, Sales, OnDemand Solutions, Ramco Systems. “We are adding more partners to our network as they have the local reach and the requisite customer connect.”
Over the next one year, Ramco aims to expand its partner network to 100 partners across India. Partners will be selected on the basis of their aptitude for ERP implementation, past experience and ability to create lasting relationships with customers, informed Sukumar. “We are conducting a number of partner enablement programs, which include training and sales support, to help them gain better product understanding. We will also provide sales leads and help partners in closing and implementing the deal,” he added.
Sukumar said there was huge potential in the SMB segment, which had been hitherto under-served. “Companies in this segment have very few options when it comes to ERP, and a cloud model will certainly attract them because of the low Capex involved.” Ramco already has 150 customers and—with an expanded partner network in place—plans to add 500 customers by end of the year.
“We are the only player in India to offer a proven ERP system on the cloud. This has generated significant demand for our solutions in various industry segments. Although manufacturing has been a strong vertical for us, we expect OnDemand ERP to be popular across verticals,” concluded Sukumar. |
