HP to Bundle Adobe with Z400

 By K R Nambiar, CRN, June 11 2009, 1630 hrs

Following the recent launch of its Z series workstations, HP has rolled out a software-bundling initiative with Adobe. Design software from Adobe will be bundled with Z400 workstations at a 30 percent discount.

“We have partnered with Adobe to tap the creative user marketplace and are presently offering two bundles—one with the Adobe CS4 Production Premium and the other with Adobe Premier Pro CS4 targeted at video editing professionals,” explained Anurag Gupta, Country Manager, HP, Workstations.

The bundle of Adobe CS4 Production Premium with an HP Z 400 workstation is available at a price of Rs 2,32,999, while the bundle with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 starts at Rs 99,999. The bundle is being offered through both HP and Adobe partners.

IDC estimates the professional workstation market in India at around 50,000 units a year.

HP Z400 workstations come at an entry-level price of Rs 35,000.
