 CRN Network, January 30, 2012, 1000 hrs

Lenovo and Polycom have signed an agreement to deliver Polycom RealPresence HD video and HD voice solutions on Lenovo notebooks and tablets. The companies are ensuring a number of devices, including select laptops in the ThinkPad T, X, L, and W Series, are Polycom-ready.

Additionally, the companies are planning to deliver Polycom-powered solutions that embed select Lenovo desktops, notebooks and tablets with Polycom RealPresence HD video and HD voice collaboration software. Lenovo will also resell Polycom’s personal and group communication accessories worldwide.

In the first half of 2012, Lenovo will offer select ThinkPad tablets and notebooks that are certified Polycom-ready, specifically for Polycom RealPresence Mobile and Polycom RealPresence Desktop software.

“By embedding Polycom RealPresence video collaboration software in our devices, we are delivering extra value to customers by allowing them to easily collaborate face-to-face with anyone from anywhere,” said Rich Cheston, distinguished engineer and Master Inventor, Lenovo.

“This collaboration underscores Polycom's focus and commitment to deliver the advanced and innovative unified communications and video solutions to enable employees to collaborate with colleagues, customers, experts and partners from wherever they work or travel,” said Sudhakar Ramakrishna, Chief Development Officer, Polycom.
