Symantec to double rebate under Aspire program

 CRN Network

In order to boost the sentiments of partners in a slowing economy, Symantec has announced a series of programs and promotions—the refreshed Aspire Rebate Program with doubled back-end rebate, Real Deal to incentivize the sales staff of partners, and revamped training programs through its online University for Partners.
Valid from December 1, 2008 to May 31, 2009 the New Aspire Rebate program will give any registered partner, backend rebates of up to 10 percent (as compared to 5 percent, earlier) on business done over and above their revenue target.
The Real Deal promotion, valid from December 1, 2008 to 31 March, 2009, provides monetary rewards to sales people of partners on incremental and new license sales for Symantec Backup Exec 12, Backup Exec Agents and Options, Backup Exec System Recovery 8.0, Endpoint Protection 11.0 and Multi-tier Protection 11.0.
Symantec University for Partners will offer revamped course material to help partners increase knowledge on the company’s broad range of products and solutions to reduce the sales cycle and help partners more effectively build solutions.
“We realize that selling in tough times is going to be difficult and partners will have to put in that extra effort to sell. Hence the incentive schemes are designed to motivate and reward those partners that are putting that extra effort. Our focus is to train and enable partners to sell solutions. In an economic slowdown, those partners with sharp focus and value offerings will succeed,” said Ajay Verma, Director, Channels and Alliances, Symantec India.
