XFX Radeon HD 5870

Pine Technology, makers of XFX graphics card, has launched Radeon HD 5870 featuring ATI’s Eyefinity technology.

The card features ATI’s Stream technology which claims to boost system’s performance by offloading tasks that were previously sent to the CPU to the GPU, thus resulting in faster speeds.

XFX Radeon HD 5870 offers full support for Microsoft DirectX 11. It is also said to enhance the 3D effects with features like HDR Texture Compression, DirectCompute and Tessellation.

The GDDR5 memory technology incorporated in the card provides twice the data per pin compared to GDDR3 memory at similar clock speeds. Additional features include ATI CrossFireX, Avivo, and PowerPlay.

The XFX Radeon HD 5870 is available with Rashi Peripherals at an estimated street price of Rs 27,000 and comes with a three-year warranty.
