In a bid to widen the geographical coverage for its third-party RMA and warranty support services, Accel Frontline plans to appoint 100 service franchisees in tier-3 and tier-4 cities over the next 12 months.
"Our core focus for 2009 is to expand and increase our services reach in tier-3 and tier-4 cities by appointing 100 franchise partners, who will set up service outlets under the name of Accel Frontline. These franchisees will provide warranty management, test and repair and technical help desk services for all the 25 vendors we have partnerships with,” said Damodar Sahu, National Manager, Accel Frontline. One such franchisee appointed by Accel recently is Patna-based Astric Computers who has been signed as an exclusive ASP for entire Bihar. “Through this partnership, we will be providing warranty support services for brands including Seagate, Viewsonic, Kingston and Sony Ericcson. We will be opening a 4,000 sq ft multi-brand service center in Patna by the end of March 2009 and later plan to open one service station each in all major districts of Bihar over the next 12 months,” informed Prabhat Kumar Sinha, Director, Astric Computers. Accel also plans to open its own 10 service outlets in cities like Gwalior, Surat, Dehradun and Jodhpur to increase its presence in these cities in addition to the existing 40. With 25 vendors including Cisco, Seagate, AMD and Gigabyte under their belt, the company is also planning to tie-up with more vendors and increase its services portfolio. Recently, Accel added an online RMA registration website for partners and customers, and has also started a service where customers can find out their RMA status through SMS. |
