Array Wants Partners for DesktopDirect

 By Ramdas S

Array Networks is aggressively scouting for right partners to push its flagship enterprise-class remote desktop control solution, DesktopDirect. Initially, the company intends to work with partners focused on IT & ITES, as the sector is highly sensitive to business continuity challenges.

“Business continuity is the most critical challenge in this sector. Any natural calamity or epidemic outbreak has the ability to disrupt the service delivery of these organizations. DesktopDirect allows companies to let their employees work from anywhere through a standard browser,” explained Sunil Cherian, Vice President, Marketing, Array Networks.

A single perpetual license of DesktopDirect is priced at Rs 7,000 per user. Cherian said that for customers buying large volume license the cost works out to less than Rs 1,500 per user.
To target smaller companies, Array has introduced the Peak Use Flex Plan. “Many companies may not want to invest in a remote worker solution license. For them we have a flexible plan that allows them to use our solution only in times of emergency. It is instance-based and costs a fraction of the perpetual license,” added Cherian.

According to Array, the worldwide market for such solutions is $4 billion. “So far business continuity plans have existed only on paper for most large organizations. But they are becoming serious about putting them into practice now. With more companies becoming flexible about employees telecommuting, the mobile workforce proportion is increasing. This is driving the demand for solutions like DesktopDirect,” said Cherian.

Array has already enrolled and trained 50 partners. “With the help of our distributor iValue InfoSolutions, we have put together a good set of partners. Now our aim is to launch a direct-contact campaign with IT & ITES companies across all major technology hubs in the country,” said Shibu Paul, National Sales Head, Array Networks.
