B RaghavendranB Raghavendran, VP, Channel Operations and Commercial Strategy, Cisco India and Saarc, has over 15 years of industry experience. He is responsible for building and leading Cisco’s partner efforts in the region. Prior to this, he was working with Wipro

If not in the IT industry: I would be into catering management or an executive chef in a restaurant.

Biggest passion: I thrive to be successful in everything that I do—be it work or play.

Behind the wheels: I drive a Honda City and Toyota Innova. My current dream car is Toyota Fortuner.

Gadgets I can’t live without: At work, my BlackBerry and Tata Photon data card and at home, TV and home theatre.

Role model: Bill Gates, Dhirubhai Ambani and NR Narayana Murthy. Essentially, any self-made entrepreneur who has made a mark and became a true legend is my role model.

Weekends are for: Family.

Favorite holiday destination: Europe, you never get enough of it.

Hate the most: Bad politics and hypocrisy.

Ultimate ambition: I want to make sure that my kids become successful in life and have good education and guidance.

Thing I most want to do in life: Live life happily.

Favorite sport and sportsperson: My favorite sport is soccer and sportsperson are Maradona and Pele.

If I became the Prime Minister: I’ll make sure India gets the kind of infrastructure we see in China or other developed nations. Also, I’ll see to it that companies get a healthier environment to do business.

Celebrity I’d like to spend a day with: Amitabh Bachchan. He has seen ups and downs in life and yet he’s so positive. Look at where he is today! He is also a perfectionist.
I would like to know how he does all this.

Deepest and darkest fear: Losing someone close to me.
