Presently we bank solely with Kotak Mahindra. If anything happens to this bank—considering what has happened to financial institutions around the world—we will be in a soup. How should we lower our risk?

PRAKASH - The banking system in India is sound, and strictly governed by the RBI. I do not foresee any adversity in our banking sector. However, it is always wise to lessen your risk in case something unforeseen happens. You may continue to bank with Kotak as your primary banker, but to be on the safer side open an account with another bank, preferably a PSU.
