Dell India has reorganized its India operations and restructured its management team. The company has created the new post of President, and appointed Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as President and Managing Director, Dell India. Lakshminarayanan was earlier Vice President and Managing Director, Dell International Services.
“The position of President has been created with the intention of presenting a single face of the organization to the government, industry and community. Building our leadership brand with a community of strong local leaders is an important part of our people strategy,” a Dell spokesperson said.
Sameer Garde, who headed Dell India for the past two years, has moved to the role of VP and GM, Global OEM Solutions, and will be based in Austin, US.
Vikas Bhonsle, head of the Large Enterprise (LE) business in the west, has been promoted to head the LE division. Dell has also moved the global and corporate account business out of LE to be a part of the larger Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Global 500 team.
Mahesh Bhalla, who has been credited with the success of Dell’s consumer business, has now been entrusted with an expanded role as Country General Manager, Consumer, Small and Medium Business (CSMB), which covers the entire range of Dell’s engagement with channels.
Satyen Vyas, who was earlier in charge of the server and storage portfolio, has been made Director of Medium Business.
P Krishnakumar, till recently Director for SMB Marketing in India, will now be leading marketing strategy for the CSMB India organization. In addition, he is tasked with driving marketing for the APJ region for Dell’s mobility business.
Neeraj Singh, Director for Commercial Channels for Dell in India, has moved to the Global 500 business unit. Pradeep Devaraj now leads the commercial channels business for Dell. |
