Fujitsu’s Primergy BX400
Fujitsu announced the new Primergy BX400, a fully-featured blade system built from the ground up. Designed for mid-sized customers with large computing and storage requirements, it provides a combination of up to eight server or storage blades in a small enclosure. It combines fully integrated virtual storage technology from NetApp.
The blade system is equipped with Intel Xeon 5600 series processors and supports Windows and Linux OSes, as well as common hypervisors like Microsoft HyperV, VMware and Citrix Xen. It is shipped with Fujitsu’s ServerView software suite, and ServerView Resource Coordinator VE and Virtual IO Manager to deliver uniform operations for pools of physical and virtual servers.
The rack version can be integrated into an industry standard 19-inch Fujitsu rack or other third-party racks.
The Primergy BX400 will be available globally in December 2010 through authorized distributors. The pricing will be announced shortly. |
