FusionStor scouts for distributor

 By Varun Aggarwal

After a series of successful enterprise deployments, FusionStor has decided to take the channel route to sell its portfolio of rack-mount servers and NAS boxes along with Layer 3 switches. Currently, the company is scouting for a national distributor with a strong presence in major cities and a strong connect with solutions providers selling to SOHO and SMB segments. Within the next six months, the vendor aims to sign up 350 partners and cover 16 cities.

“For three years, we have been selling directly. But with several customer deployments under our belt, we believe it’s time to tap the channel resources,” said Amit Pipada, CEO, FusionStor Technologies India.

FusionStor recently launched NAS boxes targeted at SOHO and SMB segments. MR200 is priced at `25,000 for 2TB and `39,000 for 4TB, while MR500 costs `49,000 for 4TB and `75,000 for 8TB.

FusionStor claims to have a clientele of 70 which include companies like Crest Animation Studios, Motilal Oswal Securities, Intellinet and Adlabs Animation. “We have been focused primarily on the enterprise segment till now. But with the new portfolio, we will have access to the vast SMB market,” added Pipada.
