Gigabyte introduces graphics card

Gigabyte launched GV-R4870 graphics card, built on the ATI Radeon HD 4870 GPU and features 1 GB/256-bit GDDR5 video memory, delivering frame rates for demanding applications and 3D games. It features native DisplayPort connectivity, TeraScale graphics engine, ATI CrossFireX support, Unified Video Decoder 2 (UVD 2) and ATI PowerPlay power management technology.
The card is able to deliver nearly two times the memory bandwidth of the previous generation. In combination with 24x custom filter anti-aliasing (CFAA) and anisotropic filtering, it provides DirectX 10.1 graphics capabilities with support for Shader Model 4.1 to further enhance 3D gaming effects.
To help reduce PC power consumption, the graphics card features Gigabyte Ultra Durable 2 design.
Priced at Rs 24,990, the graphics card will be available with Redington, Ingram Micro and Avnet India.
