Canon CSP Registers Exponential Growth


 CRN Network, August 5, 2010, 1200 hrs

Canon India’s Consumer System Products (CSP) division registered 88 percent growth in H1 FY2010-11. In addition, in Q1 FY2010-11, CSP achieved a 35 percent market share in the laser printer segment.

 

VP Sajeevan, Director, CSP, Canon, said, “We are also investing a lot in promotions and enhancing capabilities of our partners and are confident of sustain the high growth trajectory.”

 

To consolidate the growth of the CSP division, Canon India aims to build business capabilities of its best partners by broadening delivery systems through programs initiated recently like Elite Circle. In addition, the company plans to open 1,000 Original Ink Centers (OICs) by the end of this year from its present status of 780 OICs and also increase its reseller base from the current 3,000 to 5,000 by December 2010.

 

Canon India has managed to expand its territory coverage from a total of 303 (H1 FY2009-10) to 380 towns (H1 FY2010-11), including metros.

Canon is growing pretty well.Brillaint channel poilicy.Letting the channel to make profits is the key thing.I have attended their channel meets many times everythine i feel and get confidence on their channel focus.Good brand to associate with.They must focus on Ink jet also.Now they are leaders in Laser printers.They can be in Ink jet too.Good pricing and same aggression of Laser should be there.I am sure they can.mr.Sanjeevan leadership can make it happen. All the best.
