Epson Announces AIO Inkjet Printers

 CRN Network, December 06, 2010, 1100 hrs

Epson recently announced the launch of its lowest priced entry-level all-in-one (AIO) printer model—Stylus TX121—and its mainstream AIO printer model—Stylus TX220.

The economical TX121 offers scan plus copy functions, and prints at 28ppm (pages per minute) for black and 15ppm for color on draft modes. It offers users a choice of more affordable Epson 91N economy ink cartridges, in addition to the standard Epson 73N ink cartridges.

The TX220 is slightly faster at 34ppm black and 15ppm colour in draft modes, has additional built-in card slots for direct printing from camera memory cards without a PC, and has an LCD for visual reference visual reference.

Designed for home users, both printers come with Epson Micro Piezo print head with Variable-Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT). They achieve a maximum print resolution of 5760x1440dpi and the VSDT allows the print head to eject ink droplets in three sizes. Both printers are bundled with Epson INKdividual Cartridges that include DURABrite Ultra Pigment Ink.

While TX121 offers 600dpi scan optical resolution, TX220 offers 1200dpi. Both the printers are compatible with Windows XP, XP Professional x 64 Edition, Vista, 7, and Mac OSes.

Available with authorized distributors, Stylus TX121 is priced at `3,999 and Stylus TX220 is priced `5,999.

“The Stylus TX111 and TX210, which the Stylus TX121 and TX220 replace, were our best selling all-in-one printer models because of the high performance and value they offered customers,” said Samba Moorthy, Senior General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Epson India. “The latest Stylus TX121 comes with a new design and one-touch buttons for copying convenience while the Stylus TX220 offers faster print speed than its predecessor. We believe these new all-in-one printers will continue to offer leading value and be even more popular than their predecessors.”
