Asus Enhances Post-Sales Support

 CRN Network, September 9, 2010, 1000 hr

Asus has added burnt and corrosion warranty for all motherboards under its enhanced post-sales service program called ELITE 2.0 Also the company said that the new warranty program will now be available in 798 cities from the previous 270.

Under the new warranty program the company launched last July, it provides free pick-up and return facility for all motherboards under warranty.

Asus clarified that the burn and corrosion warranty will only be applicable on motherboards that need RMA service and fall within the 3-year warranty period.

“Most consumers often face voltage fluctuations due to erratic power supply which is one of the main reasons of burning of components in motherboards. Also many Indian cities are situated near the coastline, which causes corrosion in motherboards. So implementing the burnt and corrosion warranty address these concerns of customers,” said Steve Han, General Manager, Service, Asus India.

The new warranty program by Asus offers DOA policy of 60 days, pick up and return of products across most part of the country, and instant swap for certain types of product failures.

Vinay Shetty, Country Head, Component Business, Asus India added, “Our service centers will provide pick-up and return services within 30km radius of their location, thus effectively servicing customers who are located in 798 cities, for no extra charge.”
