WD Launches TV Live Streaming Media Player

Western Digital has introduced its Wi-Fi enabled TV Live streaming media player. The device delivers movies, TV shows, music and Internet content from companies like Vimeo, Playjam, Deezer, TuneIn, SnagFilms, Comedy Time, and Watch Mojo YouTube, Facebook to the TV in full-HD 1080p resolution.


The media player connects to the Internet wirelessly or through an Ethernet connection, with 802.11n wireless connectivity. It also supports a wide range of file formats for streaming content from any connected USB drive, digital camcorder or camera, network drive like My Book Live personal cloud storage, and any networked PC.


“By marrying features of the new wireless WD TV Live with quality content from service providers, we are excited to deliver on our commitment to provide customers with a premium entertainment experience,’’ said Khalid Wani, Sales Director, Branded Business for India, Middle East, and Africa, WD.


The device is available at a MRP of Rs 7,900, and comes with a 1-year on-site limited warranty.
