Kingston Introduces New Anti-Counterfeit Label For Memory Modules

 CRN Network, February 17, 2010, 1130 hrs

In order to help resellers and customer identify counterfeit memory modules easily, Kingston Technology has launched new anti-counterfeit labels on its products. The new labels have come into effect on all Kingston memory modules shipped from January 20, 2010.

The anti-counterfeit labels employ the new Phantom technology, so the K logo embossed on the sticker will become visible or invisible as the viewing angles changes. In addition, the new label uses different security ID number to ensure product authenticity.

End-customers can utilize the Kingston website and enter the information provided on the new labels to verify the authenticity of the memory product in their possession.
