HP To Organize Free Service Camps

 CRN Network, January 25, 2010, 1630 hrs

As a part of its ongoing Small is Big regional outreach program, HP India is organizing free service camps, offering attractive offers on purchase of select after-market cartridges and has introduced buy-back offers for customers.

HP India is working closely with its channel partners to increase awareness about the HP advantage. This includes HP demo zones for customers in the retail shops, ongoing trainings for partners to update them on the latest laser technology, and road shows that will give channel partners an opportunity to explore the possibilities that HP’s LaserJet portfolio creates for customers.

Additionally, HP is also making maintenance of its LaserJet printers an easy affair for customers through free service camps that have been set up across cities. This will enable customers to get their HP printers checked at no cost, and replacement of parts will also be a part of this customer care initiative.

The company will also offer buy-back programs where customers can exchange their old HP laser printers for a new one on select SKUs. These service camps will be accessible to customers across regions till January 31, 2010.

According to Ajay Rawal, Country Category Manager, Commercial Volume LaserJets, IPG, HP India, “The Small is Big is our approach to the regional markets, whose potential is often not realized. The SMB clusters set up in the country are some of the most critical ones, and need technology expertise to help their businesses boom. As the imaging and printing leader, HP India is here to help them leverage technology to its best.”

Recently, a partner told me that a leading vendor has sent letters to several of its partners stating that they would like to audit the partners’ business. When the partner refused, he was sent a notice by the vendor’s legal department stating that the partner’s contract made it mandatory for him to comply with the vendor’s demand
