Cisco has appointed HCL Infosystems as its national distributor for its Linksys consumer home networking products.
Craig Gledhill, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Cisco Consumer Business Group, said, “Cisco as a company is all geared up to take a leadership position in the consumer wireless networking market. The appointment of HCL Infosystems was a strategic move, designed to strengthen our focus on the consumer market. HCL has an extensive channel network and partnering with HCL will further drive our position, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities as well as in Large Format Retailers like HCL Digilife stores. We look forward to working with them.”

Under this tie-up, HCL Infosystems will market Linksys home networking products through its Digilife stores across the country. HCL Digilife stores houses a complete range of digital lifestyle and entertainment products ranging from PCs and notebooks, digital cameras and music players, mobile phones, gaming consoles and office/home automation devices from world renowned brands.
In addition to this appointment, Cisco had tied up with HCL for a bundling program to benefit from its expertise in areas of IT hardware and networking. In this offer, a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router or an Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband router is being bundled with HCL Leaptops at a special price. Consumers can also opt to buy these two routers separately at a special price. |
