In a bid to boost its blade server and thin client business, HP India has rolled out an exclusive portal for its RCS (remote computing solutions) partners, and also floated an exclusive program called RCS Elite Club. “HP sees remote computing solutions as the future of enterprise computing. In India, we have seen tremendous growth for our blade servers and thin client business over the past one year, and we see the adoption growing in the coming years. The RCS portal and Elite Club are aimed at providing our set of partners all the assistance and support required to sell these solutions to their customers,” said Sameer Mathur, Head, Solutions Partner Organization, HP India.
The RCS portal will offer partners access to HP resources and services, the latest HP news and sales tools, plus exclusive management information. According to Mathur, the portal will allow almost any transaction a partner needs to do with HP, 24x7, and in real time.
“The portal will provide product and pricing information, offer online certification and education, and feature reporting tools that enable partners to review their performance against specific targets to determine how to focus their selling efforts for better returns. There is also the Piper Configurator which allows them to configure HP commercial products online, and the Enterprise Configurator that helps configure RCS products online using HP’s simple configuration tools,” elaborated Mathur. HP has enrolled 18 partners in the RCS Elite Club, which will be owned by RCS Product Head, Rajat Mehta.
The company also said it has beefed up the incentive program for RCS partners. “Under the Blade Runner program for RCS Elite partners, we have framed an incentive program that will give them higher returns. For instance, partners doing Rs 5 lakh business can earn up to 10 percent incentive. We are also investing in people, POCs, demo units and partner certification,” added Mathur. |
