In a recent meeting with CMDA members, LG officials addressed the various service problems faced by them. Many members had complained about problems with LG ODDs. Richard Ravi Prasad, Head of Service, LG India assured CMDA that all problems will be addressed and the company will work towards improving the turnaround time.
In case of problems with optical drives, LG will replace them with new ones. Waiting time at service centers will not exceed 30 minutes. The turnaround time for notebook problems will be 1 hour while that for spares replacement will be 48 hours.
LG also assured members that for its desktops and monitors, which have onsite warranty support, it will meet a response time of 24 hours once the call is logged on its toll-free number and, in case spares replacement is required it will be done within 72 hours.
In case of repeated problems with LCD monitors, they will be replaced on the next call as per the company’s service policy.
CMDA urged LG senior officials to create pickup facility in Pimpri-Chinchwad area especially for optical drives. As for dealers in this area, the Satara Road service center is far away. The officials assured CMDA that they will try to find out some feasible solution.
CMDA also conducted a free health check-up camp for members on April 18 and 19. The camp was conducted in two hospitals simultaneously, namely Joshi hospital for its Pune-based members and Aditya Birla Hospital for its Pimpri-Chinchwad members. “This year 140 members attended the health check-up camp, 20 percent more than last year,” said Shital Nahar, President, CMDA.
Tests worth Rs 1,000 were conducted free of cost. The channel association has also negotiated 15 percent discount on additional tests including stress test and bone testing.
Committee members, Sanjay Adhav and Manoj Shah planned and executed the event while Balaji Iyer co-operated with CMDA committee for arrangements at Aditya Birla hospital. |
