Cincom Scouting for Distributor

By Sharmee Roy, CRN Network, July 22, 2009, 1400 hrs

Cincom Systems is taking the channel route to sell its CRM and business intelligence (BI) solutions in India and is scouting for a distributor.

Abhishek Mehrotra, Marketing Head, Cincom Systems India, said, “We intend to have partner network that is a mix of high-end systems integrators like Wipro and Polaris and tier-2 partners. We are looking at appointing a national distributor to support our tier-2 channel and are currently in talks with few companies. Our aim is to have a distributor on board by September.”

The vendor intends to appoint five tier-2 partners in each region based on their reach in a particular industry vertical. It has already partnered with Comnet Vision and Modi Peripherals.

“These partners will have the option of selling our products as a stand-alone solution or bundle them as a packaged solution along with hardware infrastructure solutions that partners are providing,” informed Mehrotra.

Cincom sells three products in the Indian market—Cincom Acquire, the collaborative sales-force automation software; Cincom Synchrony, the CRM solution and; Cincom BI, its business intelligence suite.
