M.Tech adds more vendors

 By K R Nambiar

Value-added distributor M.Tech India has been roped in by Riverbed, Proofpoint and Solarwinds to distribute their products in the country.
While the distribution pacts with Proofpoint and Solarwinds are exclusive, M.Tech will be the second distributor aligning with Riverbed.
“We have had a great year so far, and since our partner alignments are in place we feel it’s time to add more vendors. We have a track record of grabbing the top pole for the vendors we align with. We hope to grow the marketshare of our new principals,” said Rajendra Shah, Managing Director, M.Tech India.
Solarwinds is a network management tool vendor offering several freely downloadable tools for networking engineers. The vendor has been on an acquisition spree after 2006, and has established itself as a premium network management tool vendor.
Proofpoint provides an array of unified e-mail security and data loss prevention solutions for enterprises. It also has e-mail appliances and SaaS-based offerings.
Riverbed is a leading WAN and application delivery optimization vendor which is also represented by WeP Solutions. “Since our focus is on the networking and security space, the new alliances will further value-add to our existing offerings,” said Shah.
M.Tech also distributes Checkpoint, Citrix and Tipping Point products.
