Brocade Appoints 3 New Channel Partners

 CRN Network, March 15, 2010, 1100 hrs

Brocade recently selected three strategic reseller partners—Smartlink, Mro-Tek and GLS—to help expand its existing data center distribution network to enterprise IP networking products. According to networking vendor, the partners were selected on their ability to efficiently deliver networking solutions to channel reseller partners, as well as their extensive knowledge, skills, and expertise in the networking industry.

Under the agreement, the new partners will assume responsibility for all of Brocade’s IP networking sales, marketing and servicing activities in India. They will also serve as an important platform for the vendor’s diversified business and growth strategies in India.

Brocade will continue to sell storage networking products through SAN distributor Renaissance Softech and Transition Systems.

“The inclusion of Smartlink, Mro-Tek and GLS is a key element of the Brocade Alliance Partner Network (APN),” added Charlie Foo, Director, Partner Business Group, Brocade Asia-Pacific. “The program consists of four distinct partnership levels: Distributor, Elite, Premier, and Select. As part of this partner-enablement strategy, Brocade will provide its partners with deal registration to help ensure project and investment protection.”

To help ensure profitable partnership engagement, Brocade has expanded its sales, marketing, and technical support offerings.
