BA Systems Scouts for ND

By Sharmee Roy, CRN, Nov. 17 2008, 1130 hrs

BA Systems, an integrated routing platform vendor, is looking to rope a national distributor to re-organize its distribution network.

B Jagadish, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, BA Systems said, “We are in talks with major national distributors. We expect to sign on a distribution pact by December. The distributor will be responsible for business in India and Saarc.”

Earlier, the vendor had appointed Microsense as national distributor. “Microsense told us that they didn’t want to continue with distribution and instead wished to focus on providing solutions. So they now more into providing solution and less into distribution,” he informed.

Once the national distributor comes on board, BA will expand its partner base. Presently with 34 partners, it will scale up the partner network to 100 partners by end of March 2009.  With Sai Infosystems, Allied Digital Services, and Genesis as its national SIs, the new partners will be a mix of regional and local players.

BA’s target verticals include service providers, IT/ITES, education and BFSI. Some of its customers include HTMT Global Solutions, Net4 India, Logica and City Co-operative Bank

Currently with a market share of only 3 percent, the company will focus on building its revenues and market share once the channel network is in place.
