Benq launches full HD LCD monitor
Benq has launched E2200HD, a 21.5-inch full high definition LCD monitor. The monitor renders 1080p full high definition content such as Blu-ray movies and console games without the need to crop, stretch or resize the content to fit the screen. With the advanced motion accelerator technology, it creates images with reduced visual noise at a response time of 2 milliseconds. It features 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 1920x1080 native resolution and 300-nit brightness, rendering dark details with considerable clarity along with display of 16.7M colors. With the help of HDMI and DVI-D interfaces (both with HDCP support), it offers high definition display solutions. The company’s exclusive ‘Senseye+photo’ technology, with its preset modes, enhances the visual quality. The monitor also has integrated speakers that enhance gaming and movie-watching experience. The LCD monitor is available through the company’s dealers at a price of Rs 13,500.
Plustek redefines surveillance
Plustek has launched IPcam P1100, a full-featured surveillance camera. With fast Ethernet connectivity, the network camera has an enhanced CMOS sensor that provides a resolution up to 640 X 480 pixels. The camera has various settings—sensor alert, motion detection sensor, human detection sensor, timer and other function. It transfers image and data log via email or via FTP to a server and thus enabling motion detection and setting up automatic e-mail alert notification. It can also record streaming videos using JPEG Short Header Mode Compression, onto the hard drive, The network IP cam is bundled with an advance surveillance software that allows to playback video to monitor. The camera supports all kinds of network protocols. Priced at Rs 6500, the camera is available with Plustek’s national distributors.
Dell designs Vostro for SMBs
Dell unveiled Vostro PCs, designed specifically to meet the needs of small businesses, operating on limited budgets. The new Vostro products include two pre-configured laptops and two desktops. The Dell Vostro A100 is an entry-level desktop designed for basic business productivity. The system has an Intel Atom processor and Ubuntu Linux operating system. Vostro A180 is a desktop that offers Intel Celeron and Pentium dual core processors to optimize office application performance. Vostro A860 laptop is a 15.6-inch laptop equipped for handling day-to-day business tasks. It offers a HD widescreen LCD with anti-glare coating and an integrated network, modem and wireless connectivity with optional Bluetooth capabilities. Vostro A840 is a 14.1-inch version of the A860 laptop with an anti-glare WXGA widescreen LCD. Starting from Rs 22,900, the new Vostro PCs will be available through authorized partners and also directly from Dell.
Raritan KVM switches
Raritan has launched two models of two-user Masterconsole CAT KVM switch for server rooms and data centers. The Masterconsole CAT 8-port (MCCAT28) and 16-port (MCCAT216) models are designed specially for SMBs. It supports two simultaneous and independent user sessions enabling administrators to access and troubleshoot target servers from two workstations without having to move the server rack-to-rack. One of the workstations can be placed outside the server room—up to 100 feet away from the switch. Two independent users can control up to eight or 16 servers, depending on the model. The switches can be cascaded to support up to 256 connections. It delivers Bios-level control and security through a direct KVM network. The CAT 5e cable is used to carry the server's KVM signaling from the switch to the user stations. Raritan also offers one-user Masterconsole CAT switches and KVM-over-IP switches for SMBs. The price of two-user Masterconsole CAT KVM 8-port switch starts at Rs 44,272. The products are available with the company’s authorized distributors. |
