CEO of value-added distributor iValue InfoSolutions, S Sriram is an industry veteran of 20 years. He was also the CEO of Select Technologies.
If not in the IT industry: I started my career in the Lighting industry and might have continued if not for my friend’s advice to switch to IT.
Biggest passion: To make iValue the best and the biggest value-added distributor.
Behind the wheels: I enjoy driving long distances, on good roads and with family and friends, in my Toyota Corolla.
Gadgets I can’t live without: Laptop. I am a data guy and can’t do without it. My MP3 player as I need my music whenever I am on the move.
Role model: Ram Agarwal. I have worked with him at Wipro, WeP and Select Technologies. He has been a great influence.
Weekends are for: Playing scrabble with wife and son, cracking Sudoku, visiting friends, eating out, and working out.
Favorite holiday destination: Australia, New Zealand and Mauritius are my favorite spots while holidaying with family. I prefer Las Vegas when traveling with friends.
Hate the most: Infrastructure bottlenecks. The pathetic state of infrastructure in the country is due to corruption and not lack of funds as perceived.
Ultimate ambition: To leave a legacy that will benefit the next few generations.
Wildest thing I’ve ever done: Bungee jumping from a height of 100 meters in China when the weather was terrible.
Thing I most want to do in life: There is no one thing I want to do. I get bored easily and like fresh challenges every two years.
If I became the Prime Minister: I will focus on eliminating corruption, the only inhibitor for India to become a super power.
Celebrity I’d like to spend a day with: South Indian movie stars, Mohanlal and Prithiviraj, since my wife is a big fan.
Deepest and darkest fear: Losing people who matter the most to me and my family.
