After recently tying up with HP Procurve, Bangalore-based Cyberstar is looking to focus on adding more enterprise networking and security products to its distribution portfolio.
Raj Rathi, Managing Director, Cyberstar India said, "We already have vendors like Belkin and Netgear in our portfolio and the inclusion of HP Procurve will help strengthen our offerings in the networking space. We are actively identifying players in the security hardware space and are talking to a UTM vendor.”
Cyberstar has been recently appointed as regional distributor for Microsoft's OEM products. “We are really proud being a Microsoft partner. It’s the first software in our portfolio partnership. We expect the tie-up to boost our growth during slowdown,” he added.
Cyberstar expects a contribution of 15 to 20 percent from the new tie-ups in the current fiscal itself.
With the economic slowdown, Cyberstar is looking to consolidate its operations. "The drop in demand and the current credit squeeze have impacted channel inventory. There is a real threat of defaults. Keeping all these in mind, we expect to be cautious,” said Rathi.
Cyberstar grew at the rate 45 percent last year. However, this year it doesn't expect a similar growth. "This year we foresee a growth in the range of 20 percent," Rathi informed. |
