Kaspersky Lab has readied two new products Pure— a security solution for home networks—and Mobile Security 9 for mobile phones. The vendor will unveil its next-generation products at CeBIT 2010.
According to the security vendor, Pure can provide complete protection against all web-borne threats and hence offer a secure digital environment for users—both on and offline. It comes with new features including extended parental control, advanced data backup and encryption tools, and a password management program. It also has the ability to manage entire home network or fine-tune the security settings of web browser and operating system from any computer on the network.
Mobile Security 9 has been specifically designed to safeguard smart phone users against network attacks, malware and phone-based spam. It also includes a suite tools that can safeguard personal information on a missing device by allowing the owner to locate the phone via GPS and remotely block or wipe their data, even if the SIM has been changed. Its new privacy protection feature allows users to hide information about any contact that they want to keep confidential.
“Our aim is to stay one step ahead of the cyber criminals, and protect users with our technologies, solutions and expertise. Cyber threats have become so widespread that they can be described as digital pollution that has seeped into all areas of the digital environment and is a real threat to digital assets that we value,” concluded Eugene Kaspersky, CEO, Kaspersky Lab. |
