Symantec Unveils MSP For Partners

 CRN Network, December 1, 2011, 1100 hrs

Symantec has introduced managed service provider (MSP) for Endpoint protection and back-up and recovery solution partners.

Symantec Backup Exec 2010, Backup Exec 2010 for Windows Small Business Server, Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, and Endpoint Protection 12.1 Small Business Edition integrate with RMM platforms such as Kaseya, LabTech, Storage.Online and N-able. Symantec Backup Exec 2010 delivers new private cloud services to enable partner to backup and manage multiple customers through a single console and provide integrated off-site protection. In addition, Symantec partners can tie Symantec cloud-based security products into their existing MSP offerings.

The new program also includes the ExSP licensing program, a pay-as-you go subscription licensing model designed for service providers. It rewards service partners for their growth by reducing licensing costs as their volume of business increases. The Symantec ExSP Licensing Program is open to partners enrolled in Symantec’s Partner Program who are qualified service providers.

“With this announcement, we are empowering partners to offer Symantec’s solutions through flexible deployment options. Our partners now can offer differentiated services to their customers, giving them the flexibility of choice,” said Ajay Goel, Managing Director (India and Saarc), Symantec.
