QuantumPages Launches ConnectReseller

By Sharmee Roy, CRN, July 14, 2009, 1230 hrs

Web services company, QuantumPages has introduced a new division, ConnectReseller targeted towards domain and Web hosting resellers in the market. It will provide Web service reseller account through which resellers can start their Web service reseller company in less than 20 minutes. The division will also provide web solutions like domain registration and web hosting option to the resellers together through its platform Starplato, which is developed in-house.

Ashish Shah, President and CEO, QuantumPages said, “This platform will target the domain resellers, Web hosts, ISPs, Web designers and software development companies. It provides our resellers the opportunity to create multiple web shops (online store or store front) free of cost to sell their products/ services. The ConnectReseller platform is private labeled architecture where we will operate at the backend and will not be in there picture. In case of any renewals, customers can interact directly with our resellers.”

This new division is a part of company’s new strategy to segregate QualiSpace—one of the divisions of QuantumPages group that previously catered to Web services to both end users and resellers. With launch of ConnectReseller, the company has separated its reseller and end user business.

Through Webshop Manager, the partners can setup prices and select Web services that they want to sell and generate discount coupon codes. The platform will also provide the resellers with a tax engine through which they can fix the tax parameter. The engine also comes with multiple currency support. These resellers can further create a layer of resellers under their respective Web shops.

Initially the company will focus on transferring its existing QualiSpace reseller base to ConnectReseller. “We have been working with 750 plus resellers and our first step will be to move these partners under our new division. We have already initiated the process and have moved 150 resellers under ConnectResellers,” informed Shah.

Ouantum also plans to introduce co-branding of its services through hardware vendors and system integrators with Pre-Paid cards. These prepaid cards will allow anyone to get the web service like domain name, Web hosting, and email accounts by filling up online form.

Recently, a partner told me that a leading vendor has sent letters to several of its partners stating that they would like to audit the partners’ business. When the partner refused, he was sent a notice by the vendor’s legal department stating that the partner’s contract made it mandatory for him to comply with the vendor’s demand
