Trend Micro introduced Worry-Free Business Security Services, subscription-based, hosted service solution that allows small businesses to be connected and protected. It can help SMBs manage and monitor their computers, even those unconnected to the network.
The security vendor claims that the solutions are designed to help alleviate some of the cost, margin and product-reliability challenges channel partners face, especially in tough economic times. “Worry-Free Business Security Services locks in success for both channel and customer. Channel partners can gain increased margin and closer customer relationships, while customers get superior threat protection against the latest threats,” said Greg Boyle, Global Product Marketing Manager, Worry-Free Business Security Services, Trend Micro.
“Worry-Free services can be set up and installed in three easy steps so that a partner’s cost of sale dramatically reduces. Since it is a hosted solution, partners can provide on-going services at zero cost for multiple customers from one interface,” added Amit Nath, Country Manager, India and Saarc, Trend Micro.
Looking at the growing numbers of mobile and telecommuting workers, Trend Micro has added extra protection against Internet threats. The USB Device Threat Prevention feature blocks threats whenever USB drives are used, and the Wireless Network Prevention feature protects users against potential hackers while accessing an unknown wireless network.
Among other features include: Smart Scan that lightens the memory load of computers by storing the majority of security technology on the Web security server maintained by Trend Micro; Smart Feedback that integrates feedback loops that provide continuous communication between Trend Micro products as well as the company’s 24/7 threat research centers and technologies in a two-way update steam; and Behavior Monitoring (Analysis) technology that correlates the different components of a threat and continuously updating its threat databases. |
