Defaulter list shoots up in Bangalore
Bangalore distributors and traders are feeling jittery as four more traders are said to be either winding up or absconding from their IT business. A few months back, well-known retailer Jupiter IT Solutions shut shop, and it is said to have created potential bad debts of around Rs 2 crore. Now four more names are being added to the list.
A source of Shadow tells that new names such as Pooja Impex, System Solutions and K S Info Systems are being discussed as potential permanent defaulters. What is more alarming is that the default payments of these four are said to total about Rs 8 crore.
Worse news from SP Road—the local IT marketplace in the city—is that another 6-7 traders are also expected to wind up their business because volumes have been sliding even further.
Distributors are keeping a vigil over every movement in the marketplace, and are said to reviewing the credit terms of many partners.
Can’t blame them.

Top 5 reasons why CIOs need to go on leave

  • Sales people can hog all the bandwidth to watch streaming video—no one’s watching.

  • The Deputy GM at IT can get the time to carry out the DR drill he was assigned—finally!

  • While at the drill, junior IT staff who are part of  disaster recovery dispatches to offshore sites can have fun dress rehearsing—in fancy clothes.

  • So that the CIO’s over-worked, over-stressed, over-teched secretary can go on leave as well—a well-deserved one.

  • The CIO can come back with a real innovative streak in him— the ‘I’ in his title needs that.
