Dell’s Channel Love Affair-Part 3
Shadow always keeps his promises to the readers. Last time he had assured us that he’d return with more concrete details about Dell's channel plans. Here it is. It’s almost certain that Iris Computers will don Dell’s distributorship by early next month at the latest. Talks with Redington and Ingram Micro are in the final stages and at least one of them is likely to sign up as well. Starting February, Dell is expected to announce a slew of channel initiatives every month. The very first ones will be about the distribution tie-ups, followed by an announcement about its retail strategy and tie-up with Reliance Retail and finally about the vendor’s comprehensive channel policy. Keep watching this space for some early tip-offs.
